A manufacturing business initially intended to replace their existing heating boiler. Following our audit and discussions the client decided to replace the boiler with a combined heat and power system (CHP) capable of producing both heating and on site electricity generation. Furthermore, waste wood produced during the manufacturing process was utilized as fuel for the boiler. This innovative solution combined reductions in waste disposal costs, emissions from the use of fossil fuels and resulted in a net reduction in CO2 from the site. Through funding the project by lease finance, the client enjoyed immediate positive cash flow.
